Wonder why?
Drum soldiers' Iraq duty canceled
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2009
The change affects the approximately 3,500 troops of the 10th Mountain Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team.
Not sayin but... Owens now leads in Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton and Essex counties. Hoffman leads in Oswego, Oneida and Madison counties.
FT Drum is in Jefferson county. Wonder why the Dem is beating a teabagrrrr there?
Things, all around, aren't going well for the teabagrrrr candidate anywhere:
The mood is getting darker at NY-23 Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman’s election party. Results from Jefferson County–Republican territory that John McCain carried–show Owens in the lead. And the Syracuse suburbs–Madison, Oswego, and Oneida County–are not showing the blowouts that early polling suggested. The first results from Oswego show Hoffman at 2800, Owens at 2000, and Scozzafava at 324. The final Siena poll had Hoffman leading Democrat BIll Owens 51-28 in this region.
BTW: I am not saying that canceled deployments to Iraq are the only reason they might vote Dem over some whack-job warmongering teabagrrrr type in Jefferson County... Heck! Soldiers may yet find about some crazy trip to Afghanistan for all we know. But just sayin'. It is interesting.
